Krawl Digital is a trading name of Jilako Media LTD ("we", "us", "our"), a company based in London, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at krawl.digital. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the site.

2. Information We Collect

  • Information you give us: when you submit our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the content of your message. If you book a call with us, the scheduling provider collects the details you enter there.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device and operating system, pages viewed, and referring source, collected through cookies and similar technologies as described in section 5.

We do not ask for special category data (such as health or biometric information), and this site is not intended for children.

3. The Krawl Digital Dashboard

If you create an account and use the Krawl Digital dashboard, we process more information than we do for a visitor to the public site:

  • Account and profile data: your email address, your name, and optionally your company name and phone number.
  • Email verification: a token sent to your address to confirm you control it.
  • Login records: the date and time of each sign-in, along with the IP address and browser user agent it came from. We use these to detect unauthorised access to your account.
  • Site connections: the address of any WordPress site you connect, and the API token issued by our WordPress plugin for that site. Tokens are used only to carry out the actions you request against your own site.
  • Files you upload: the CSV files you submit for redirect jobs, along with the per-row results generated from them. These contain the URLs and anchor text from your own website.
  • Tool records: the schema analysis jobs you run and their results, and your dashboard token balance and transaction history.

We use this information to operate the dashboard, run the jobs you ask for, keep your account secure, and support you when something fails. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you as a dashboard user, together with our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes, on the following lawful bases:

  • Responding to your enquiry and providing our services. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to someone who has contacted us, or performance of a contract where we are already working together.
  • Keeping the site secure and preventing automated spam. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the site and our inbox.
  • Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in measuring and improving our own website. You can opt out of analytics as described in section 5.
  • Sending you occasional updates, if you ask us to. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying to any message or emailing us. We do not run a newsletter and we do not add you to a mailing list simply because you contacted us.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. It sets cookies that record a randomly generated identifier, the pages you visit, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Analytics is loaded after the page has rendered and we do not use it to identify you personally.

You can turn analytics off for your browser by visiting any page on this site with ?ga-optout=1 added to the address, for example https://krawl.digital/?ga-optout=1. The preference is stored in your browser and applies until you clear your browser storage or visit the same page with ?ga-optout=0. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated submissions. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information from your browser, along with behavioural signals, and sends them to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it with the following providers, who process it on our behalf under contract:

  • Calendly: scheduling, if you choose to book a call with us.
  • Google: website analytics (Google Analytics 4), spam prevention (reCAPTCHA), and delivery of the email notifications generated by our contact form.
  • Render: website and database hosting.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

7. International Transfers

Our website and database are hosted within the European Union. Some of our providers, including Google and Calendly, are based in the United States and may process your data there. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on the transfer mechanisms approved under UK data protection law, including the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where it applies, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. Contact form submissions are stored in our database and in our email records so that we can respond to you and keep a record of our correspondence.

Dashboard account data, site connections, uploaded files, and job results are kept for as long as your account is open, so that your history and connections remain available to you. You can delete a site connection yourself from the dashboard at any time.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time using the details in section 13.

9. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your data.
  • Object to or restrict how we process it.
  • Ask us to transfer your data to another provider.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
