Atlas Social Publishing Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Atlas Social Publishing ("Atlas") is a social media content management and publishing feature within the Krawl Digital dashboard. Krawl Digital is a trading name of Jilako Media LTD ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
This policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and protected when you use Atlas and connect third-party social media accounts, including TikTok and YouTube. It sits alongside our general Privacy Policy, which covers the rest of the Krawl Digital website and dashboard.
2. Information We Collect
When you use Atlas, we may collect or process the following, to the extent needed to provide the feature:
- Account and profile information you provide to Krawl Digital.
- Information identifying the social media accounts you choose to connect.
- Authentication and authorisation tokens provided by supported platforms.
- Account or channel information made available through authorised APIs.
- Content, media, titles, captions, descriptions, and publishing instructions you submit through Atlas.
- Publishing status and operational information needed to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the feature.
- Technical information reasonably necessary for the security and operation of the service.
We do not request or store your TikTok, YouTube, or Google password.
3. TikTok Integration
Atlas uses TikTok APIs to provide social publishing functionality.
If you choose to connect a TikTok account, Atlas may receive information from TikTok according to the permissions you explicitly grant through TikTok's authorisation process. This may include TikTok account information, authorisation credentials, publishing permissions, and information needed to publish content at your request.
Atlas accesses TikTok information only for functionality you have authorised, and only within the permissions TikTok has granted.
4. YouTube Integration
Atlas uses YouTube API Services to provide YouTube-related functionality.
If you choose to connect a YouTube or Google account, Atlas may access information you authorise through Google's OAuth process. Depending on the permissions granted and the features used, this may include channel information, authorisation tokens, video information, video metadata, and information needed to upload or manage content at your request.
Information received from Google APIs is handled in accordance with this policy, applicable Google API requirements, and the permissions granted by the user.
Google's privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
5. How We Use Information
We use information processed through Atlas to:
- Provide and operate Atlas Social Publishing.
- Authenticate and maintain connections to the accounts you authorise.
- Identify the account or channel selected for publishing.
- Let you prepare, review, and manage content.
- Transmit content and publishing settings to the platform you select.
- Process publishing actions that you initiate and authorise.
- Display publishing status and relevant account information.
- Maintain security and prevent unauthorised access.
- Troubleshoot and improve the reliability of the service.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
6. User Control and Publishing
You keep control of the social media accounts you connect to Atlas. Atlas does not publish content to a connected social media account without a publishing action initiated or explicitly authorised by the user.
Before content is submitted for publishing, Atlas identifies the destination account or channel and presents the publishing controls that apply to it. You are responsible for reviewing your content, the destination, and the publishing settings before you initiate publication.
Atlas uses platform permissions only within the scope you have authorised, and only for the purposes described in this policy.
7. Authentication Tokens
Atlas stores the authentication and refresh tokens supplied by supported platforms where this is needed to maintain a connection you have authorised.
Tokens are used only to provide functionality you have authorised. They are not used as substitutes for platform login credentials, and they are not shared with other users of the dashboard.
8. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information or social platform account data obtained through Atlas.
Information may be processed by service providers where this is reasonably necessary to operate, host, secure, or support Atlas. Those providers may process information only as appropriate for the services they provide to us. Our hosting and database provider is Render, and the providers used across the wider site are listed in our general Privacy Policy.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
When you instruct Atlas to publish content, the information needed to perform that action is transmitted to the platform you selected.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide Atlas, maintain security and legitimate operational records, and meet our legal obligations.
Platform data and authentication information are not retained indefinitely without a legitimate purpose. Where a platform imposes shorter retention or refresh requirements, we follow those requirements.
10. Disconnecting and Revoking Access
You can disconnect a supported social account from Atlas at any time from the dashboard.
You can also revoke authorisation directly with the platform, without going through us. For Google and YouTube, access can be reviewed or revoked through Google's account permissions settings. For TikTok, you can review and remove connected app permissions from within the TikTok app's own settings.
Once authorisation has been revoked, Atlas will no longer use it to access the connected account.
11. Data Deletion
You can request deletion of the personal information associated with your use of Atlas by emailing contact@krawl.digital.
We will process valid deletion requests subject to any applicable legal, security, fraud prevention, and record-keeping requirements. Where we can no longer verify valid authorisation for stored platform API data, we will delete it or otherwise handle it in line with the relevant platform's requirements.
12. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect information processed through Atlas, including access controls and encrypted connections to platform APIs.
No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
13. Third-Party Platforms
Atlas integrates with services operated by third parties, including TikTok, Google, and YouTube.
Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms, privacy policies, community guidelines, and other rules. Connecting an account to Atlas does not transfer ownership of that account or its content to Jilako Media LTD.
14. Children's Privacy
Atlas is not intended for children below the minimum age required to use the Krawl Digital dashboard or any connected social media platform. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
15. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we process it, ask us to transfer it to another provider, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@krawl.digital. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Atlas, applicable law, or the supported platform integrations change. The latest version is published on this page and the date at the top shows when it was last changed.
If the way Atlas accesses or uses authorised platform data materially changes, we will give any notice, or seek any renewed consent, required by applicable law or platform policy.
